The countdown is ON and we are more than excited!
We are involved in so many aspects here at Blazing Saddle. We work around the clock to bring the atmosphere and vibe to a whole new level. Our décor and stampede displays are on every corner downtown, in every quadrant of the city, duration displays and one-day events. Stampede props for breakfasts and parties. Bales-barrels-fencing-signage-archways. We are here for YOU and for IT and we love every second. The countdown is ON and we are more than excited! Yahoo Folks!
Atmosphere: Straw bales, whiskey barrels, wagon wheels, oh my. The buzz of the city starts weeks before the Stampede begins. Christmas is the only comparison. What other holiday takes so much energy, decorations, events, planning and good times?!?! Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, and Parties. Stampede is the epitome of joy and fun! The vibe of Calgary is like non-other during this magical time of the year. You can smell it in the air (sometimes mini donuts, sometime cow manure). Entertainment options are endless; decorations are a plenty. If you aren’t corralled by our custom western fencing, sit on one of our fire-retardant straw bales or rest your drink on one of our whiskey barrels this stampede, we will be surprised!! We provide 100’s of displays to the Calgary area during Stampede. From a backyard party to the biggest events in town, we will be there to spread the spirit and the vibe of the beloved Calgary Stampede.

Dances, was inspired by watching the First Nations dancer Tyrone Sitting Eagle of Siksika Nation competing at the 2024 Calgary Stampede Powwow. “I can’t express the dancing in any other way except beautiful and meaningful,” says Loepp, who is in the final year of her Bachelor of Design degree at AUArts. The spirit of the Stampede is spread through so many wave lengths in our great city of Calgary. Art work, décor, music and so much more.
The Midway: Sometimes the new and crazy Midway food list sounds like a bad episode of Fear Factor.
Worm Poutine? Oh no sir. Spam-pede Bao? I’d rather not. Some sound delish… Doritos Fried Pizza on a stick or Deep Fried Cinnamon Buns…I think we can do. The entertainment and showmanship of the Calgary Stampede has no comparison. The Calgary Stampede grounds hosted 1,470,288 people that walked through the gates in 2025. That’s a lot of Skittles Hot dogs they served. Eye spy and you might just find some of décor on the grounds. We are a proud official vendor of the Calgary Stampede and are happy to bring our western themed party decorations and decorative wood displays to the grounds year after year. Calgary Stampede Midway
Rodeo & Grandstand show:
The Calgary Stampede Rodeo & Grandstand are worth ridin’ all day for. The Stampede rodeo features 7 events over 10 days with $2.17M in prize money up for grabs. Ropin’, Ridin’, Racin’, Wrestlin’…it’s what we are here for. The Grandstand show is always a spectacle. The Young Canadians are incredible with so much talent. While the headliner hasn’t been announced yet, we are excited for it all. With dancers, artists, athletes and musicians…topping it off with a phenomenal fireworks show, is worth staying up late for. It really is The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Sarah O’Brien, your 2026 Calgary Stampede Princess and Raegan First Rider, your 2026 Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess will be all over cow-town this stampede where they serve as ambassadors for the Calgary Stampede. Celebrating and sharing its message of community spirit, western heritage and inspiration, they will attend hundreds of events. Most of which will have our decorations – Straw bales, saloon doors, archways, barrels and they will absolutely pose for photos in
front of our sought-after Photo ops/Pic backgrounds. They are a great addition to any event.
Flipping Pancakes to drinking boot beers:
There are 50+ free pancake breakfasts in the City of Calgary
during the 10 days of the Stampede and we would know, as we decorate for most of them. You will absolutely sit on one of our fire-retardant straw bales, walk through on of our western archways, see one of our custom branded signs and rest your drink on our whiskey barrels at a Stampede breakfast.
Public or private – we are at a lot of them. Zip through your “work-day” (non-existent during stampede) and to the grounds for the nightly shenanigans. Whether you are in line at Nashville North, The Cowboys Tent, the Coke Stage or the Saddledome – you will likely also enjoy a boot beer (drinking beer out of a strangers dirty cowboy boot. It’s a right-of-passage, just drink it and move on). This year ALANIS will headline the dome on July 11 th – WOW!! (Anyone else think she might be the Stampede Marshall??)
